Zuena Naikoba, aged 18, smiles at one of RAUA’s team members as she receives a bottle of soda. Despite her cheerful attitude, she struggles with severe disabilities including the inability to walk, talk or meet basic needs. Zuena is very social indeed and loves being around people.
Her daily life mainly depends on those around her to take care of her. The sole responsibility of her parents. They must assist her with daily life tasks including feeding her.

They also have to give her a hand in using the bathroom as she is unable to tell anyone because she is unable to speak. Her life is one that is quite difficult.
As most of the families in rural communities, her parents do not have the capacity to fully support due to the high levels of destitution.
Despite of the available support from her family, she faces discrimination from some members of the community because of her nature.
Zuena urgently needs food, clothes, a wheel chair and medical attention. Her parent’s worries are they can’t provide for her child. Their deepest wish is that she can achieve all that is necessary for her one day.
