RAUA partnered with the Mukono District Health Office to carry out various health services in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic specifically in the central part of the country in march 2020.
During this period, together with the Ministry of Health we conducted numerous outreach efforts seeking out the most vulnerable groups in the community such as those people in the remote areas who find it hard to access general health facilities.
The overall outcome of our efforts during this community outreach included COVID-19 awareness and immunization, food nutrition awareness and management, treatment of minor sickness and referral of severely ill members of the community to higher health centers for further medical assessment.
